What is Dementia? What is Alzheimers
Dementia is a general term for a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Alzheimer’s a specific disease and the most common cause of dementia.


I can personally account that watching family members live through Dementia and Alzheimers is very difficult, and would love to share some words of advise, wisdom and encouragement. There many holistic and natural remedies we have access to.  We don't have to sit around idle and wait for our number to be pulled. There are things we can do about this and they may start of simpler than you expect!

Anti-Aging and De-aging is real. Our entire body is wired to adjust and adapt to what we give it, if we continue to challenge it with learning new things or exercising physical, it will continue to maintain its function.
 
Food And Supplements:
Clinical Nutrition is important. Eating foods that are high in antioxidants like vitamins C and E and B-Complex is a wonderful natural way to eliminate free radicals from your body. These may be found in oranges, sweet potatoes, olive oil and carrots.  Amino Acids are great for brain performance and memory; these include Tryptophan, Tyrosine, and Phenylalanine. These may be found in raw vegetables and Nuts (Almonds Avocados, and Walnuts)
 

Fish Oil:
Did you know that 80-90% of us are deficient in our Omega 3 to Omega 6 balance?
Many of us that deal with Severe Arthritis, Degeneration and Inflammation may suffer from this.

The essential fatty acids are increasingly seen to be of value in limiting the cognitive decline during aging. Fish consumption is associated with decreased risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, and the reported daily use of fish‐oil supplements has been linked to improved cognitive function scores. While foods are your best bet for getting omega-3s in your diets, supplements are also available for those who do not like fish. However, fish oil supplementation is not as effective as eating wild fish. Disclaimer: Fish Oil can effect Blood Clotting Medication.


Sleep:
Did you know that frequency deep sleep can drastically decrease your risk of Alzheimers?
How many of your loved ones have accepted that their insomnia. How many only sleep 4-5 hours per night?
During deep sleep, the brain washes away waste products and proteins that increase the risk for Alzheimer's disease. If you are are not sleeping well you may be at risk of developing dysfunctional brain conditions over time.
